Screen & Display

6 free tools

Your phone's screen is the part you touch thousands of times a day, so a small fault is easy to notice and costly to ignore. The tools in this category check the display and touch layer right in your browser, with nothing to install: find dead or stuck pixels with full-screen solid colors, reveal backlight bleed and banding with gradient patterns, confirm the real refresh rate (60, 90, 120 or 144 Hz), and map the whole touch surface to spot dead zones or ghost touches.

These checks are most useful before buying a used phone, right after a screen replacement, or when you suspect a defect while the device is still under warranty. A stuck pixel is a subpixel frozen on one color and can sometimes be revived, while a dead pixel stays black and usually cannot. For the most reliable result, set brightness to maximum, avoid direct sunlight, and clean the display first so dust is not mistaken for a defect. Everything runs locally and no image ever leaves your device.
