A frozen Android is almost never dead, it's overwhelmed. A forced restart brings it back in seconds, and a little housekeeping stops the freezes returning.
- 1Hold Power + Volume Down for 15-20 seconds until the logo appears.
- 2If nothing: charge for 30 minutes and repeat, empty batteries mimic freezes.
- 3After reboot, free storage (aim for 15% free) and uninstall the app that was open when it froze.
- 4Update the system and apps.
- 5Frequent freezes in one app → clear that app's cache/data. In all apps → consider factory reset.
Tip: Touch not responding but screen alive? Test the digitizer with our Touchscreen Test, dead zones are a hardware symptom, not a freeze.
