A powered-off phone can't report its live location, but you are not out of options: Google stores the last known location, and newer Androids can be findable even offline.

  1. 1Open android.com/find and check the last known location, often enough to know if the phone is at home, work or a store.
  2. 2In Google Maps → your profile → Location sharing / Timeline, check the device's location history.
  3. 3On Android 9+ with the new Find Hub network, nearby Android devices can relay an offline phone's position, check the map again periodically.
  4. 4Lock the device remotely so it is protected the moment it powers on.
  5. 5Report the IMEI to your carrier and the police if you believe it was stolen.

Tip: Enable 'Store recent location' and offline finding in Settings → Google → Find My Device today, it only helps if turned on before the phone is lost.
