Fix 'Moisture Detected' on Android (Won't Charge)

The moisture warning blocks charging even when dry, safe ways to clear it.

The moisture alert protects the USB port from shorting. Sometimes it's right (rain, sweat, shower steam); sometimes the sensor just needs a reset. Never bypass it while actually wet.

  1. 1Unplug immediately; shake the port downward gently.
  2. 2Let the port air-dry 30 min - 2 h; a fan accelerates it. No hot hair dryers.
  3. 3Restart the phone, clears a stuck warning after real drying.
  4. 4Clean the port of lint/debris with a wooden pick (dirt triggers false alerts).
  5. 5If it persists days while bone-dry: clear USB settings cache (Settings → Apps → show system → USBSettings/USB → clear cache) and reboot.
  6. 6Urgent charge while waiting? Wireless charging bypasses the port safely.

Tip: A warning that returns every time you plug in, dry, clean, restarted, can mean port corrosion starting; have it inspected before it worsens.
