Most full phones hide 5-20 GB of instantly reclaimable space. The trick is deleting local copies of things already safe in the cloud, not your only copies.
- 1Google Photos → profile → 'Free up space on this device', deletes local copies of already-backed-up photos.
- 2Files by Google → Clean: junk, duplicates, large files, old screenshots.
- 3WhatsApp: Settings → Storage and data → Manage storage, sort by size, purge forwarded videos.
- 4Delete old Downloads (Files app → Downloads).
- 5Uninstall unused apps; clear cache of the heavy ones.
- 6Movies/music downloaded for offline use in streaming apps, re-download only what you actually watch.
