Use the built-in screen recorder, capture internal audio or mic, and fix a missing recorder tile.

Android 11+ ships a native screen recorder in Quick Settings, no app needed. The details worth knowing are audio source selection and where recordings land.

  1. 1Swipe down twice to open Quick Settings; find 'Screen record' (edit the panel with the pencil icon if hidden).
  2. 2Tap it, choose audio: none, media sounds (internal), or microphone, plus 'show touches' if teaching someone.
  3. 3Tap Start; a countdown runs and a red indicator shows while recording.
  4. 4Stop from the notification shade.
  5. 5Find recordings in Photos/Gallery → Movies or Screen recordings.

Tip: DRM apps (Netflix etc.) record as black screens by design. For long recordings, plug in the charger, recording is battery-hungry.
