Realme Not Charging: Fixing Dart Charge and Cable Issues

Realme plugged in but stuck at the same percentage, cable, port and Dart Charge troubleshooting.

Realme's Dart Charge (and SuperDart on newer models) fast charging needs a matched charger and cable to negotiate correctly, a mismatch is the most common reason a Realme phone shows 'not charging' or charges at a crawl.

  1. 1Use the original Realme charging brick and cable if you have them, third-party chargers that aren't Dart Charge certified often fall back to slow 5W charging or fail the handshake entirely.
  2. 2Inspect the USB-C port for lint or pocket debris with a flashlight, this is the single most common physical cause and a wooden toothpick clears it safely (never metal).
  3. 3Try a different wall outlet, some Realme models are picky about power delivery from certain surge-protected strips or older outlets.
  4. 4Restart the phone with the cable connected, a stuck charging daemon occasionally needs a reboot to redetect the connection.
  5. 5Run our Charging Speed Test to see actual charging current, if it reads near zero with the screen off, the port or charging IC is the likely hardware fault.
  6. 6Check Settings → Battery for an active 'Optimized Charging' or overnight charging limit feature that may be intentionally pausing the charge, this is normal behavior, not a fault.

Tip: If the phone only charges when you wiggle the cable at a specific angle, the USB-C port's contacts are worn from daily use and need physical replacement, not a settings fix.
