Failed pairing is nearly always a state problem: the accessory isn't really in pairing mode, or old pairing records conflict. Clearing both sides fixes the vast majority of cases.
- 1Put the accessory truly in pairing mode (usually hold its button until fast-blinking; check its manual).
- 2On the phone: forget the old pairing entry first (gear icon → Forget), then scan again.
- 3Toggle Bluetooth off/on; restart the phone.
- 4Clear Bluetooth cache: Settings → Apps → show system → Bluetooth → Storage → Clear cache, reboot.
- 5Reset the accessory itself (most earbuds have a factory-reset combo).
- 6Cars: delete the phone from the car's own paired list too, then pair fresh.
