About this test
This tool uses the device's GPS through the geolocation API to show your coordinates and signal accuracy in meters. The lower the accuracy number, the better the GPS fix.
Use it to check whether GPS freezes, takes long to lock or points to the wrong place. Accuracy improves outdoors and degrades inside buildings. Your location is shown on screen only and never uploaded.
Privacy: this tool runs entirely in your browser. No image, audio or device data is recorded or sent to any server.
Frequently asked questions
Accuracy is very high (tens of meters).
Indoors the signal is weak. Move to an open area and wait a few seconds for a tighter GPS fix.
It says 'permission denied'.
You need to allow location access when the browser asks. If you denied it before, re-enable it in the browser's site permissions.
